Visiting the Keukenhof theme park is all about seeing flowers!

The Keukenhof, known as the garden of Europe, is 32 hectares wide, has 15 km of footpaths and approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted there annually.

Come and see the largest steam engine ever built! You can still see how it works!

The Cruquius steam pumping station not far from the Keukenhof is an industrial monument of world format. The 19th century pumping station was built for the gigantic task of draining the big Haarlem lake which had become a threat to the city of Amsterdam.

Owing to my academic training at the University of Amsterdam and my experience as an educator, literature study, on-site research and excursions I have gained an advanced command of the geography of the Netherlands and in particular the Dutch’ continuous fight against the water.

Organising tours in the Netherlands, Belgium and other countries for foreign tourists, foreign students and business visitors I am used to deal with tourists from English-language countries and Russia.
